Destroyer Squadron Twenty

Destroyers of Squadron Twenty (DesRon20) steam through a smokescreen laid by planes of Patrol Squadrons Seven, Nine and Eleven, during an exhibition staged for Movietone News off San Diego on 14 September 1936. The ships are from right to left: Dewey, Hull, MacDonough, Worden, Dale. The ships out of sight are to the right of photograph is the USS Farragut and the two ships on the left are the USS Monaghan and USS Aylwin.
